Compared to Kingpinless type caster rigs, Kingpin type caster rigs have lower swivel resistance, but are less robust and pose a FOD (Foreign Object Debris) hazard in the event of failure.

Compared to Kingpin type caster rigs, Kingpinless type caster rigs have greater strength redundancy and are compliant to FOD restricted environments, but have greater swivel resistance.
